Company President Rick Kinney and associate Brooke Klejnot settled into Raleigh NC late yesterday to plan out a week of research and discovery of what they would like to bring to Quimby Village and the people of Fort Wayne.

Light bulbs turning on above heads and brainstorming is what this week is all about. Who knows what might come of this design research trip? Today and tomorrow it’s Hopscotch Design festival and later this week its Etix Training sessions coupled with the Hopscotch Music Festival.

What is Hopscotch Design Festival? A partnership between NEW KIND and HOPSCOTCH MUSIC FESTIVAL that gathers thinkers, makers and storytellers to share ideas and foster conversations about how design is shaping the future.

It features national and local presenters who work across graphic design, urban planning, user experience design, technology, architecture, music, food, film and more. Hopscotch Design will feature more than 30 interactive sessions, workshops and parties in multiple venues in downtown Raleigh, Sept. 9-10. Stay tuned to learn about what the Even Keel crew will experience and also more about what Hopscotch Music Festival brings to the table.
